Fees and Rebates

Fees

Fees are $295 per 50 minute session. The recommended session fee by the Australian Psychological Society is $300 for a 45-60min session.

Referrals

A referral from your General Practitioner (GP), Paediatrician or Psychiatrist is required to access Medical rebates for Clinical Psychology sessions.

Medicare

Medicare rebates are available for Clinical Psychology services provided under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

At the current time, a Medicare rebate of $137.05 per session is available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year for individual clients who are referred to a clinical psychologist by a GP under a Mental Health Care Plan.

Private Health Funds

Please check with your individual provider to discuss your eligibility. You cannot receive a rebate through Medicare and private health insurance for the same session.

Cancellation Fees

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 business hours notice to allow the time to offer your appointment to another client. In practice, this means for a Tuesday morning appointment, any cancellation or rescheduling would need to take place on the Friday morning prior to your appointment.

Clients who cancel sessions within 48 business hours or fail to attend an appointment without notice, will be required to pay the full session fee. A Medicare rebate is not available for unattended appointments. If I am able to fill the appointment with another client, then no cancellation fee will be charged.

Please note that pre-payment is required for Telehealth appointments. This payment is fully refundable should you cancel or reschedule earlier than 48 hours before your appointment. If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, this can be claimed at the conclusion of your Telehealth session.

Please note that while we endeavour to remind you of your appointments through email reminders, these should not be relied upon and it is your responsibility to remember appointments you have made.

Clients are informed of this policy at the time of booking and acknowledge the need to pay a late cancellation or reschedule fee when filling in their initial consult information sheet.
